The DDS Statewide Training is an in-person learning experience intended to inform, equip, connect, and inspire your team. The event will bring together DDS Staff and community providers from across the state to take part in role-specific training, understand each other’s impact, and engage in meaningful networking opportunities.
Registration for the 2024 DDS Statewide Training is 100% covered by the Oklahoma Human Services Developmental Disabilities Services (OKDHS-DDS) division so that you may attend with no cost to you.
Attendance is mandatory for all DDS Staff. Any exceptions must be approved by your direct supervisor.
For the community-based provider network, OKDHS-DDS is pleased to offer this training as an optional—but highly encouraged!—way to foster collaboration between organizations. The more of us that come together, the stronger we will be!
No, this year’s DDS Statewide Training is exclusively in-person. We’re focusing on the unique benefits of face-to-face interactions, such as stronger connections, direct networking, and hands-on learning experiences. We believe this approach will enhance the effectiveness of our training and create a more impactful experience for all attendees.

Yes. DDS Staff and Oklahoma Community-Based Providers attending can earn up to 14 valuable credits during the two-day training, alongside the skills and memories you’ll take with you! Training certificates will be emailed within a few weeks after the event.
We’re glad you asked. Videos, slide decks, and handouts from our sessions and breakouts will be posted on the event website a few weeks after the training. Attendees will receive an email once the materials are available. We can’t wait for you to share and implement what you learn!
Attendees should plan to dress in business casual attire. Clothing should be neat, clean, and appropriate for a professional setting. Please avoid items that are overly casual—such as pajamas, sweats, workout gear, or flip flops. Jeans are allowed if they are free of holes, rips, and tears.
Hotel accommodations have been assigned and communicated via email. If you requested a hotel room during registration but did not receive a confirmation email, please contact us here.
When staying at your hotel, you’ll need to provide a credit or debit card at check-in for incidental charges—expenses like room service, minibar, or even damages to the room. Hotels place a temporary hold on a portion of your card’s balance to cover these potential costs. The hold amount varies by hotel and is released after your stay if no incidental charges are incurred. Once hotel assignments are made, we will inform you of the specific incidental charges expected at your assigned hotel to avoid any inconvenience or surprises.
Details on hotel parking specifics and property assignments have been communicated via email. Staff are required to pay for parking fees upfront and retain their receipts. For reimbursement, submit these receipts to your supervisor following the same process as other expense reimbursements.
